How To Handle Your Newborn Baby With Care

Handling a new baby with the utmost care sometimes parents finds it very difficult especially when they are first time handling their baby. Many responsibilities are their when you carry your baby. As they are delicate, also they lack muscle control, their soft tender skin with unfold joints need more precautions while handling them. Always take suggestion from the old parents in the family or with friends, if its your first baby then you should take more precautions in handling them right from how to hold the body while picking your baby up and down, feeding your baby, bathing your baby, diapering the baby, dressing the baby, etc.

Here are some tips on how to handle your baby with the utmost care:

1
Picking your baby up and down: When you are picking your baby up make sure that you first hold their head properly because at that stage their head is heavier than the entire body. Slowly pick them up with and support their back and crook your elbow and shoulder with proper directions. This will help your baby to get support. In the same case slowly put your baby on a soft bed so that it will be fully supported by the floors. Make sure that their head is in proper direction. A good way to pick her up and put her down is with your whole arm so it supports her spine, neck and head and helps them feel secure.
2
Feeding your baby: This is the time where most of the mothers are worried of how to feed their newborn baby’s. As they are very delicate and they are not so prepared for the intake of solid food, breast milk or bottle milk is required. For this a mother should take care while handling their baby while feeding them.
3
Bathing your baby: If you are sure of handling your baby with care then bathing your baby will be easier. But generally newborn babies at least for 15-20 days they are been bathed using the sponge as their skin is delicate. Once you know your baby is ready to take bath, start by lying on their back and put one hand under their shoulders, supporting their head at the same time. Lift them by putting your other hand under her bottom and lower their into the bath. Keep one hand under their shoulders so that head is out of the water and use your free hand to wash them.
4
Diapering your baby: Every mother thinks about when it comes to changing diaper especially if they are doing for the first time. Some mothers feel it awkward while changing the diaper as they themselves makes the place so messy. But once you get little practice it becomes much easier to handle. First place the diaper then hold your baby with precautions and slowly put your baby above the diaper, then attached all the required tapes of the diaper. Make sure that you check diaper at some period so that the diaper doesn’t becomes more wet which may cause some skin infections to your baby.
5
Dressing your baby: This is the exciting task for every parent. Today there are so many varieties of clothes for newborn baby. Parents spend hefty amount on good clothes for their newborn baby. But make sure that heavy dresses for your baby can make them feel uncomfortable also avoid choosing such dresses which have lace and lots of buttons in it. While dressing your baby more precautions need to be taken, how you put dress on them. You will find it easier when you placed your baby on a flat surface so that you can easily put their arms in proper sleeves. Use your hand with proper direction as it may cause harm to your children, take care of your nails most.
