How To Take Care Of Your Skin During Pregnancy The nine months of pregnancy are altogether a new experience for the would-be Mom. As the new life blooms in the womb, the body adjusts to the numerous changes. So also these changes are directly reflected on the skin. Skin being the outer and the most delicate part of the body, needs extra care in this crucial period. What exactly are the problems and how do you deal with them? Well, let’s take a look at it.

 
Most of the skin ailments like change in pigmentation, rashes, acme and pimples appear and disappear during the course of pregnancy. A good sleep, regular skin care and exercise coupled with right diet are the best remedies for this.
 
You can help your skin cope up with the changes. Use a moisturizer and avoid a harsh soap. Prefer home remedies like almond oil, milk cream, rose essence and other home made face packs. This will help to maintain the glow of your skin.
 
Avoid scratching the abdomen or breast as it leads to stretch marks. Apply oil or moisturizer daily to these areas as they are prone to get stretched.
 
Swelling of legs and feet is common in the final trimester. Keep a watch on the salt intake and continue your regular walks. Also avoid standing for longer periods; it puts a lot of strain on your legs.
 
Drink a lot of water, it flushes off the toxins, helps to overcome constipation and helps in skin related problems as well.
 
Last but not the least, be happy! Keep stress away from you. It not only adversely affects your and your baby’s health, but also makes you pale and sulky.
