Tips For Buying A Baby Walker

When your baby starts to move, you want to help him or her learn as faster as possible. Walker is the best way to do that. Buying a baby walker is a big decision, because buying a wrong type of baby walker can be very dangerous for the baby. There are so many things to be taken care of while choosing a walker for baby. In this guide i am going to give you tips for buying a walker for your baby. Leave me a comment and share your experiences of buying a baby walker.

Always go for a brand new walker that passes all the safety standards. The safety warning label or sticker should be displayed. If there is none, do not buy it.

When going to buy a walker check there is no sharp edges or places that can trap little fingers.

Always choose the right size for your baby. When buying, first check your baby fits into the walker properly and check about the weight also. Whether it supports the weight of the baby or not.

Be sure that baby’s feet touch the floor when sitting in the walker.

Select the wider size of walker and having a stable base and wheels 50 mm wide in diameter.

Always avoid using a second hand walker it may not satisfy the new safety standards.

Before buying a walker, choose the room, room should have a flat or level surface, that means there should not be a combination of carpet and wooden flooring. Using a baby walker on a rug will reduce the speed at which he is able to roll around.

Be aware of dangers. Putting a baby in the walker automatically puts him at higher risk. Now baby can reach things previously unreachable, such as tea cups, candles and house hold chemicals, such alcohol or perfume.

Always monitor your baby. Don’t leave your baby unsupervised for a second.

Do not leave the baby in the walker for more than 15 minutes as prolonged use can cause developmental delays when the baby learns to walk.
