Cribs are most essential and vital product for the baby’s nursery. But recent observation shows that many infants dies every year because of the crib related accidents. Even a large number of infants have admitted to hospitals with serious injuries which occurred due to these cribs.

Use a tight fitted firm mattress in the crib. Cover the mattress with a tight fitted sheet only so as to avoid baby rolling and stocking in the sheet.

Always keep a check on the crib for any loose and broken parts. Get them repaired as soon as possible to avoid any accident.

Before using the crib make sure that all the parts are assembled properly and effectively. Replace any part which is not working properly.

Make sure that the crib does not have nay missing or broken slats and there should be no more than 2 3/8 inches of gap between slats.

The headboard and the footboard of the baby crib should not have any cutouts, as the risk of baby getting stuck into it always prevail.

It is advisable that the baby crib does not have any decorative knobs or corner points, but if you want to have it make sure you place them above 1/16 inch. not putting the crib near a window.
