Postpartum fatigue is quite common in new mothers which can last for many weeks after birth. There are various factors which contributes to postpartum fatigue in women. Post delivery sleepless nights and improper meal are the major causes behind postpartum fatigue.

Women sometimes fail to differentiate between extreme fatigue and postpartum depression. Postpartum fatigue is caused due to irregular sleep. Keep a check on your health.

Postpartum fatigue can be a result of anemia occurring due to loss of blood in delivery. Consult your gynecologist and if suggested start taking iron supplements.

Hypothyroidism – an under active thyroid gland can also cause fatigue. It is uncommon, but if you are not getting any relief consult your doctor immediately.
