We all think that baby neccessities are a huge list and much more to keep on shopping. The fact is that the new baby has very little needs that can also be termed as basic baby items, which are also called as layette. We just have to check if these basic things are there in your baby stock.
Here is a list of the basic needs which will help you get prepared for the welcome of the new born with very little shopping.
First comes the clothes and the set or quantity depends on the parents like how much of each type you would like to stock. You can keep 5 of each type or more as it depends on your laundry. The clothing is onesies, rompers, sleepers or night wear, seasonal night wear, special for cold season, baby socks and hats if the weather permits.
Next are the baby toiletries and other things. This also you can stock the required amount as it depends on how often you shop. The toiletries needs are diaper packs, wash cloths, wipes, disposable wipes, water proof diaper change pad, hooded or regular towels, baby wash, nail clippers, digital thermometer.
Then are the feeding and bedding items which also need to be stocked well for a baby. These are fitted sheets for crib, bassinet, cradle and co sleeping, light weight blankets, heavy blankets if needed due to weather changes, burp cloths, feeding bottles and feeding pillow.
