Top Five Baby Picture Book

Reading to a baby is the best way to make better development and early reading skills. When going to buy a book for your baby, always look for bold, bright and interesting pictures, rhyming text and simple words that are easy for babies to pursue. As selecting a good book is important, the way of reading a book to a baby is also important. A warm lap and the rhythmic sound of a familiar voice is what matters most to baby. Now in this guide, I am going to tell you about top five baby picture books, which are my favourite.

The very hungry caterpillar – This book has been translated into 20 languages. This book is story about the caterpillar’s journey to becoming a butterfly and his many meals in between. This book is favourite of parents as well as of babies. Babies like bright colours and simple pictures which they can easily recognised. Toddlers don’t like the complicated pictures. Toddlers can sharpen their new found counting skills by counting their way through the caterpillar’s snacks.

Ten little ladybugs – This book is touchable and having bright colours and bold illustrations. These features make this book wonderful for infants, who will enjoy the rhyming story of ten ladybugs who disappear one by one. Toddlers can learn numbers by counting ten ladybugs and learn colours by differentiating different ladybugs of different colours. Babies can identify familiar creatures in the illustrations. This book is hands-on-learning and fun for babies of all ages.

Pat the bunny – Babies will love to touch this book and follow along with the activities such as patting the bunny and playing peek-a-boo. This book has interesting textures and smells will hold baby’s interest during story time or even on a car trip. Good night moon – This is the perfect bed-time story, which follows a young rabbit as he says goodnight to anything and everything to try to avoid sleep. This book is having rhyming text, which creates interest for younger babies. Toddlers may identify the bunny’s desire to stay awake, but will soon find themselves calm and ready for bed thanks to the soothing poetry and pictures that progress from evening to night.

The rainbow fish – This is a beautiful book, in terms of story and illustrations. This book is having very calming colours and the fish sparkling scales. This book teaches about sharing. Most parents love this message. This is also abed-time story book. This is having very soothing text.
