Natural toys are those that are made from substances derived from nature. Example-wood, natural rubber, cotton, silk etc. They do not make use of any synthetics or man-made artificial things like electronic or electrical parts. Organic toys are types of natural toys that obey the standards and parameters laid by Organic Trade Association. Hence they use natural maaterials which are developed by use of orgenic fertilizers and no or least use of pesticides.

Both the above toys are absolutely safe for your little one and are eco friendly too. You can prefer them to those made of plastics or colors or other materials that can prove harmful to the environment.

Wooden Toys: A range and variety of toys are available made from wood. Wooden teethers, bath toys, dolls and vehicles. Though they are slightly bulky, they are extremely long lasting. Only thing to be ensured before buying them is their finishing which should be of a good quality.

Woollen/Cotton Toys: Soft and plush toys made of natural wool or cotton are beautiful and safe to play with. They occur in variety of size and even price range. The colors used are natural and harmless. These toys are washable and lon lasting. You could even make them at home!

Bamboo and Cardboard Toys: Bamboos are used exquisitely to make pretend play toys like kitchen sets and vehicles. Even handmade paper and cardboards make great toys like aircrafts, educational boards. The paper, bamboo or cardboard can be recycled.

Beeswax and Natural Materials: Other natural materials are bees wax that is used for crayons and wax moulds. Colors that are made from natural materials that are used safely for face painting and colored clay which is also safe for the younger kids.

Natural Rubber: It is the best alternative for plastic. Toys like teethers, small rattles and figure toys that are handled by infants are best to be used when made of natural rubber. Infants normally put the toys in their mouths and hence one should ensure that they are not harmful.
